The ATLANTA CHRISTKINDL MARKET™ & History Center Candlelight Nights

Looking for some time fun to do with the kids this weekend? How about The ATLANTA CHRISTKINDL MARKET™. My neighbor gave me the inside track on this one and it looks great. I'm pretty sure I will be strolling around Centennial Park tomorrow with a huge pretzel on my hand and baby in the other. (Thank you MC!!)

Described as " Let yourself be enchanted by the special outdoor atmosphere of the ATLANTA CHRISTKINDL MARKET™ – the city’s first and largest winter holiday festival at Centennial Olympic Park presented by the German American Cultural Foundation. Meet and mingle with your family & friends at the traditional German Christkindl Market. Come and enjoy authentic German food and beverages in a festive atmosphere. Also, find great holiday gifts for your beloved ones. The ATLANTA CHRISTKINDL MARKET™ is the official Christmas event presented by the German American Cultural Foundation as a long-term fundraiser and means of spreading German culture within the United States. The German American Cultural Foundation invites you to support our efforts to promote and foster German culture in the southeastern United States. http://christkindlmarket.org/

Another one to put on your calendar is the History Center's Candlelight Nights on December 13th and 20th. I really want to do this one as well.

" Experience Christmas past with a candlelit stroll through our beautifully decorated gardens and grounds and be transported into the warm glow of the holidays. Guests are welcomed by a lively Christmas Market filled with local crafts and artisanal creations. Visit our three historic houses to experience how Southerners celebrated Christmas during the pioneer days, the Civil War era, and the 1930s. Holiday traditions of years past come alive with interpreters, music, and special activities. Enjoy food for purchase and visit one of several cash bars for your favorite holiday libation."

This special holiday program is $20 for not-yet-members, $15 for members, and $10 for children" https://www.atlantahistorycenter.com//programs/candlelight-nights-9
